I have been laying low in the art scene the last few years but happy to say I'm picking it up again.

I had the pleasure of doing a demo for the Texas Pastel Society at the Coppini Academy of Fine Arts last year.  Will be doing another demo in February 2020 with a twist.  Check it out.

Texas Pastel Society Texas Treasures Member Show

Greetings!

Recently I participated in the beautiful Texas Treasures Member Show which was held at the Coppini Academy of Fine Arts Gallery.

I've been away from the art scene for a while due to life getting in the way.  It was such fun to talk to fellow pastel artists.  Came away inspired!  That's our motto, Shared Ideas=Inspiration!

I haven't competed in some time, but entered a piece titled "Two Natural Wonders".  It received a 3rd Place from Judge Susan Carlin.  Thanks!

The piece was inspired by the wonderful sunlight and shadows on my grandson's face.  It captivated me...he was a little over two years old and we carried him around to Albequerque, New Mexico for the Pastel Convention.  We visited the amazing Grand Canyon and he stood there very sure of himself as I snapped the picture.  I enjoyed painting this little boy at the Grand Canyon, two natural wonders.

2018 Art Show

Greetings fellow artists!

You are all invited to the Annual Art Show showcasing recent works by  my students.  Join us at the Maverick Branch Library, 8700 Mystic Park, this Saturday, April 14th, 1-4 p.m. for refreshments and beautiful art.

I will be doing a demo from 1-2 p.m.

I'm Baack!

Hello fellow artists and art lovers!

My apologies for the delay in updating my art blog.  It's been a difficult year but I hope to post news regularly.

Look for new artwork on my online Gallery.

And a reminder that I'm still teaching at Hobby Lobby, Bandera at Huebner on Tuesdays, 10-12noon. This is my 17th year at Hobby Lobby.  A lot has been accomplished, we've had art shows and the Texas Pastel Society was launched with the support of fellow artists. 

The 10 year anniversary of TXPS is coming up in  January 2018.  Check out the Texas Pastel Society blog and take time to look at the older blogs.  We've had a blast!

Join me to refresh your art or to learn new ideas in pastel painting.

Perk's Coffee Cafe Exhibit and the Bijou

Hello all!
My art is on exhibit at the lovely Perk's Coffee Cafe located at 7755 Eckhert Rd., #107, across from Marshall High School.

Have a cup of coffee and a tasty dessert, enjoy the art while doing it.

My art will be up May through June.  Enjoy and add to your art collection!


I also have pieces at the Bijou Theatre Lobby through May.  Located at the Wonderland Mall, 410 and Fredericksburg Rd.  A great place to exhibit, you would like it, too!

Sorry for the late notice, but looks like good weather tomorrow, Saturday, Dec. 5th.  I'll be at the Art on Broadway Fine Art Show and Sale, from 10 a.m. - 5 p.m.. Presented by the Lions Field Association at Lions Field Center, 2809 Broadway, San Antonio, Texas .

I also have art up at the Perk's Coffee Cafe, 7755 Eckert Rd. #107 through December.  I've included some of my latest works.  Stop by and enjoy great coffee and food.  Check out their website, www.saperks.com.  Located across from Marshall High School.  It's worth the time.

New Pastel Class Reminder

Started my new pastel class this past Friday at Jerry's Artarama in San Antonio.  This is an ongoing class, you may join at any time.  I will work at your level, your needs.  So come on in!
