Recently I participated in the beautiful Texas Treasures Member Show which was held at the Coppini Academy of Fine Arts Gallery.
I've been away from the art scene for a while due to life getting in the way. It was such fun to talk to fellow pastel artists. Came away inspired! That's our motto, Shared Ideas=Inspiration!
I haven't competed in some time, but entered a piece titled "Two Natural Wonders". It received a 3rd Place from Judge Susan Carlin. Thanks!
The piece was inspired by the wonderful sunlight and shadows on my grandson's face. It captivated me...he was a little over two years old and we carried him around to Albequerque, New Mexico for the Pastel Convention. We visited the amazing Grand Canyon and he stood there very sure of himself as I snapped the picture. I enjoyed painting this little boy at the Grand Canyon, two natural wonders.
